What WhatsApp format should I use for a Bangladesh number?

Use +880 followed by the 10 digits after the local 0. Example: 01700000000 becomes +8801700000000.

Can this prove a number is on WhatsApp?

No. This guide helps with format and operator lookup. WhatsApp account status is controlled by WhatsApp.

WhatsApp Number Lookup for Bangladesh

WhatsApp accounts use ordinary phone numbers. For Bangladesh that means a clean +880 value, not a local 01 number with spaces or a second country code.

Format the number first

Drop the leading 0 and prefix +880. 01812345678 becomes +8801812345678. 013 numbers follow the same rule.

Then run a BD lookup to see the original operator. After MNP the live network can differ from 017, 018, 019, 016 or 015.

Safety

Unknown WhatsApp chats that ask for OTP, bKash PIN or remote-access apps are a common scam pattern. Lookup is a clue, not identity proof.
